Years of reading, studying, swallowing concepts, storing information and stumbling over challenges make one wonder if the truth of awakening is piled knowledge or peeled knowledge. In a century that calls our soul to reconnect to its dearest Truth, humankind struggles with finding its source although it intuitively knows it is at reach. If the destination is available and at hand, maybe it is the path that we have overlooked, misunderstood or feared.

The greatest instances have taught us throughout centuries and even millenniums that learning was the path to power and that education was the way to wisdom. Although it feels rightly aligned with one’s evolution, it also requires a little adjustment to make knowledge a tool for growth and not a tool against it.

Knowledge, beyond the ability to understand is the ability to know. To know is to have experienced. And to experience in the greatest way is to risk walking into a wild forest where pre-conceived ideas, assumptions and judgments have no room to exist.

What if the knowledge that all the greatest wises have shared is nothing more than a truth free from belief and what if its access was the conscious path to the wilderness of the unknown through which the work is not to apprehend our environment from what it seems but for what it is.

It takes an eye trained to see without judging, to contemplate without defining, to observe without separating. It takes a heart open to the unity between the form and the formless. Soul searching is a mind purging process through which the intellect is invited to release the control of what it believes it knows. It is reconnecting with a sense of self that let ego lost in the unknown and yet, somehow, familiar with it.

Awakening is not only the gathering of knowledge so that one may understand life, it is also the surrender of the need to understand because we embody Life simply.

Space:Time

The life that we live everyday is the conscious and subconscious holographic representation of our essential blueprint filtered through our beliefs. The relationship between who we truly are and what we believe we are is as far away as two worlds living side by side and yet it is as close as two universes connected by a bridge between what is seen and what is felt.  Ultimately, and in order to bring these two worlds together, we are being challenged with our sense of presence in the now. Life demands a tremendous amount of awareness and introspection for the mind to begin to grasp its own source.

Let’s begin with the fact: what we are is what we experience. This gives us a point of reference on where to start. What are we experiencing? We are experiencing Life. Although there is one word to say it, there are 7 billions ways, at least, to express it. Each of us is given a glimpse of what life is. Each perception being independent from each others and yet intricately tied to each others. Although the everyday life offers a palpable aspect of the Truth, it still takes a journey into the senses to reveal it.

Experiencing life is giving Life itself a way to know “Being-ness” through “”Doing-ness”. The Source exists and its all-knowingness is its power. Yet, how can one know unless one experiences it? The humankind experience is the perfect creation for Life to truly know what it is made of. To know One is to give infinite possibilities, a way. To know All is to begin by forgetting everything. To know Light is to venture into darkness. The greatest game of realization is actualization. This physical reality is the perfect set up for it and we, humankind, has accepted to play a role in its unfolding scheme. While the game is on, each of us is invited to actively play its role without a pre-determined script. It is all about improvisation.  The script unfolds where we, actors, wish to take it and wherever we wish to take it determines the shape of the reality in which we live. The game is on, play your best part!

The child learns from not knowing to experiencing to knowing. Somehow, along the way, grown ups have forgotten that this is the way to growth. Growth begins with the willingness to step on a path that has not been walked before and will never be again due to the very nature of uniqueness of the human being. While the physical world needs structure to function, it has forgotten that it also needs curiosity, wilderness and unknown to evolve. Greatness isn’t an achievement based on knowledge alone. It is the result of curiosity, discovery and a dedicated practice.

Your path is determined by your dream. your mind has been sent on a mission to explore a new possibility of you. When it found it and because it vibrates way higher than your present experience, it wishes to remain there. This creates a dichotomy between what you wish and what you experience. To palliate to this situation is to bring the mind back to the experience and give it the task to focus on the step from now to the dream. A vision that has not been experienced remains a dream.

Remember that while knowledge is necessary, it remains a temporary tool and cannot be used as a crutch to compensate a lack of experience. Consciousness already holds all knowledge. What it requires is experience to anchor this knowledge back into itself. To reach your dream is to spent your Life in moments of practice of your dream. This is how you give it density. This is how you make it true. To manifest is to train at manifesting the vision just like to perform on stage is to rehearse over and over again in the shadow of the stage until the artist’s body knows how to evolve on stage.

Friends are the priceless gems of our human existence. Supporters, cheer-leaders, uplifters, they embody the highest sense of happiness we know. The friend is the one who has the power to transform your worst moments into the most extraordinary ones. It is the one who always walks in your life with a sense of hope and possibility. Somehow, it is the one who keeps reminding you that this entire Life thing is worth embracing.

This friend is a blessing, a gift and the most cherished part of your existence. You turn to this amazing friend because, intuitively, you know that, no matter what, that comforting presence will stand strong and keep you afloat when the waters become uncertain or when the storms build. This is the friend everyone dreams about. It is the best friend.

Seek not around to find such a rare treasure until you have sought greatly enough to find it within. While you journey within to reveal your connection to the Sacred, remember that those around, shaped as your mirrors, will help you find it. Those you love remind you of what it feels to be a friend. Those who you may not yet understand challenge you in finding more Love within so that you bring compassion to the parts of yourself that require acceptance.

Friendship is a responsibility. Sweet most of the time, it also can become sour. When it does, it feels like the sharp edge of a sword cutting through the heart. As Rumi said: “The Wound is where the light enters you”. This wound is a gift from your friend. A painful but necessary reminder that Love is needed exactly there. The journey of Life is a journey into Friendship: Your own. Be kind to those who help you along the way. You have chosen them and they are showing you who you are. Respect their learning, understand their lessons & embrace their wisdom.

What the butterfly knows, it needs no words to share it. It gives its life to the world for us to know what transformation means. Like a true leader whose life is dedicated to share its greatness with grace, it grows from the crawling form of its life to the soaring one of its destiny.

What nature has long understood and what humankind has yet to remember is that Life exists within us and that it is our own expression that gives it its most beautiful voice. Carrying presence is a great responsibility and sharing it is another one. Both require a great sense of humility before the significance of the mission and an even greater one before the meaning of its purpose.

The butterfly carries presence. At first, it embodies it as a caterpillar through which its existence reminds it to embrace the ground for the support it provides and the sky for the dream it creates. Then, it embodies it through the change. A space where the unknown is all that supports it. A moment where surrender is the only option for it to grow. And finally it embodies it through the reward of its faith in the goodness of Life. It becomes the soaring beauty living the dream of the caterpillar.

Faith, sense of knowingness and surrender have served the ultimate purpose of our master teacher of transformation and if there is anything that, we, humans, must learn, is that Life comes with change and change comes with letting go of the little certainties we have accepted as truths and that don’t serve our purpose anymore. Change also comes with accepting a new version of ourselves and a new way to perceive our sense of being alive.

The life that you dream is the life that belongs to you already. Although, you may not seem to be experiencing it, it exists. What it needs is density. What does give your vision its density? It is discipline. The fact that your mind can wrap itself around an idea of life is an evidence that the possibility for this life exists somewhere in its ethereal version. To attract this life to you is to hold onto your vision and uncompromisingly revealing its truth one choice at a time. As Rumi, the great sufi said: “The way you make love is the way God will be with you.” To make love with life is to live it. When you show undivided attention to your greatest Life, God gives you undivided power to actualize it.

Discipline holds an energy of structure in which the creative being within you can evolve safely. What is first necessary is to establish this structure so that the flow can move through it, safely, beautifully and purposefully. A vision that has no guardrails remains an idea without clarity and foundation.

While the word discipline may infer rigidity, it also implies cultivation and orderliness. This is the discipline that your vision requires to come alive. It demands a focused practice and a sense of dedication to self. To build a life of greatness is to build a habit of engaging your energy into the dream you are able to envision. The genius of discipline is the power of the creative process. Find a way to build habits that serve your purpose and you’ll give a way for your dream to come to Life.
